SdKfz 101, PzKpfw I, Germany's first modern tank developed in the 1930s. This is the PzKpfw I Ausf B version. The B version is slightly larger with 5 bogie wheels and a high set idler vs only 4 bogie wheels for the type A. Light and mobile with slight defensive armour and has two co-axial machine guns in the turret. This surviving example is in Aberdeen, Maryland. |
