My first time to the NAS Oceana, which is held annually. By the way NAS stands for Naval Air Station. The air show would have been wonderful if the weather would have been cooperating, but it was cold, windy, with on and off rain, which was mostly on. The performances and the team were very limited. Although on Saturday the Teams such as the F-15E Strike Eagle Demo, the FA-18F Super Hornet, the FA-18 30th Yr. Anniversary Hornet, and the Blue Angels tried to do a fairly decent "limited" low ceiling show. Also there were some WWII warbirds such as the P-51D Mustang, F-4U Corsair, and the T-6G that performed as well in limited capacity, as well as Otto the helicopter and John Mohr's PT-17, did some flying and even a stunt together. What warmed up the crowds was the SHOCKWAVE jet truck a bit when it did some runs and a race between the truck and the T-6G. The truck of course won, no contest.
