The Red Arrows are acknowledged as one of the world’s premier aerobatic teams, representing the Royal Air Force of the United Kingdom (Great Britain). The aircraft the Red Arrows fly is the British Aerospace Hawk, 2 seat trainer version. While the Hawk is not the most modern aircraft it is fast enough and very maneuverable, ideal for low level aerobatics.
During displays, the aircraft do not fly directly over the crowd for safety reasons, and most of the aerobatics are performed above 3000 ft. Thus, photographing them is a challenge due to the distance, the size of the aircraft is quite small when compared to the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds, and of course to the atmospheric conditions. Despite the distance above, they perform extremely well, and it is worthwhile to watch.
There are 39 images of the Red Arrows Team performing at Quebec City during Saturday, June 14th on the Quebec-CD2.
