The Thunderbirds are acknowledged as one of the world’s premier aerobatic teams, representing the United States Air Force. The aircraft the Thunderbirds presently fly is the Lockheed Martin F16C fighter.
As luck would have it, as soon as the Thunderbirds took off to perform, a sudden storm blew in too, with a bit hail and and very heavy down pour. While I kept on shooting in the rain (by wrapping my camera and lens in a plastic bag, leaving an opening for the lens) most were affected by the severe precipitation, and I found them not up to the quality that I like. The rain slowed down and finally stopped just as the Thunderbirds were about to end their performance. Despite this, I still managed to take a couple of interesting images, some of which are featured here and on the Quebec-CD2.
In total there are 26 images of the Thunderbirds performing at Quebec City during Saturday, June 14th on the Quebec-CD2. The image sizing is up to 2144x1424@180 ppi in .jpg format., the cost of the CD is $35.00 including s/h to most places in the world. You can also buy individual images at full resolution 4288x2848@300 ppi for $35 each. The 16 displayed images are from the Quebec-CD2, and by the way, these and the other CD images are not cropped, what you see is what you get. Enjoy
